The Story
Reiki is a Japanese word that translates to “spiritually guided life force energy.” It refers to both the universal energy that flows through all living things and the system of healing that channels this energy for balance, well-being, and spiritual growth. The form of Reiki we practice and teach originates from the lineage of Dr. Mikao Usui, a spiritual seeker who, through meditation, study, and ascetic training, rediscovered ancient methods of hands-on healing and attunement. His legacy has since traveled across the world adapted, interpreted, and often commercialized. At 4E’s Academy, we return to the heart of Reiki: connection, practice, and transformation.
Rooted in ancient wisdom yet universally accessible, Reiki is more than just a technique it is a way of being. It teaches us to slow down, to listen deeply, and to reconnect with the energetic intelligence of life itself. When practiced intentionally, Reiki can become a guidepost for personal alignment, emotional healing, and spiritual evolution.

We do not believe in rushed certifications or quick weekend workshops. We believe in building a relationship with Reiki through daily practice, energetic journaling, mindful reflection, and personal embodiment. Our teachings remain aligned with the traditional Usui lineage, while also weaving in modern energetic awareness tools such as breathwork, chakra balancing, sound healing, and intentional ritual. Attunements are given in sacred space and treated as energetic initiations not just steps in a curriculum. Students are encouraged to experience Reiki in their own lives, in their own timing, and with their own sense of purpose.

Shoden Usui Reiki
This is the beginning of your Reiki journey, where healing starts with your own hands and heart. Shoden (First Degree Usui Reiki) focuses on personal practice, energy awareness, and self-healing. It’s not just training, it’s transformation.

- Total Time: Four 8-hour session over 8-10 weeks
- Schedule: One-on-one, in-person training
- Format: Instructor-led, Highly participative
- Between Session Work: 21-day self-treatment and additional daily tasks
- Final Requirement: Must complete 10 documented Reiki sessions prior to final attunement.
